Odisha , India – The spirit of innovation was in the air as industry, government and education leaders converged at STARTUP UTSAVV 2024. Hosted by Startup Odisha, the premier startup event brought together over 1800 recognized startups from across the state to celebrate achievement and foster new partnerships.
Top dignitaries including Hon’ble Minister Shri Pratap Keshari Deb and Chief Advisor Shri Subroto Bagchi addressed attendees, urging youth to embrace entrepreneurship. “Amid Odisha’s natural abundance, I encourage dynamic youth to create jobs through startups rather than seek them,” noted Minister Deb. Bagchi emphasized solving real problems and shifting from a job mindset.
Several impactful startups were honored for success. KIIT Incubator received ‘Successful Incubator’ while Aurassure and Newrup Tech won in the women-led and student categories respectively. International standouts Larkai Healthcare and IG Drones also garnered recognition. Multiple startups raising funds, including BonV Aero and Curebay Technologies, saw commendation as well.
Memorandums of Understanding were inked with leading organizations to facilitate future support. Capacity building sessions imparted valuable knowledge on design thinking, scaling businesses, and navigating entrepreneurial challenges. Inspiring founder stories provided a roadmap for others.
The summit underscored Odisha’s thriving startup landscape, with over 700 women-led ventures and Rs. 500 crore in external funding. As the largest platform celebrating the state’s innovators and entrepreneurs, STARTUP UTSAVV 2024 spotlighted excellence while fueling further progress.
