In a notable development, the AI-driven travel tech startup 30 Sundays has successfully raised $770,000 in its pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Infoedge Ventures, with participation from First Cheque, Eximius, Misfits, and other angel investors.
30 Sundays, founded in 2022 by Kshitij Chaudhary and Anuj, is leveraging generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to streamline its operations and enhance the customer experience. The startup uses GenAI to automate tasks such as gathering customer information and updating itineraries, as well as to analyze customer calls and reviews at scale to gather valuable insights.
By integrating GenAI into its sales, operations, and marketing, 30 Sundays claims to have achieved up to 5x efficiency improvements. This advanced technology allows the company to handle more customers without compromising on service quality, a common challenge faced by traditional travel agencies that rely heavily on large teams.
The raised capital will be used to expand the company’s offerings, including opening up more destinations, particularly in the European market and long-haul trips. Additionally, the funds will be directed towards strengthening the startup’s AI and data capabilities, enabling it to scale its operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
According to a report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), India’s outbound tourism market is expected to reach $18.8 billion in 2024 and soar to $55.4 billion by 2034, growing at an annual rate of over 11%. 30 Sundays aims to capitalize on this burgeoning market by leveraging its innovative AI-powered solutions.
