DOHE, an EdTech advocacy group, has launched its 2025 Global Startup Coach Award (GSCA) with a substantial $200,000 prize fund. The initiative aims to boost the success rate of EdTech startups worldwide by identifying and showcasing talented business coaches.
The GSCA, now in its second year, invites experienced business coaches to apply for a chance to win up to $100,000. Selected coaches will be matched with EdTech startups, providing 20 coaching sessions to support key development phases. DOHE will fund these sessions, making them free for participating startups.
Building on the success of its 2024 program, which supported 100 startups, DOHE aims to double its impact in 2025 by assisting 200 startups. The company has partnered with industry leaders such as MindCET, Bright Eye Ventures, and the University of Cambridge Judge Business School to judge the competition and support EdTech entrepreneurs.
The application process for coaches is now open and will close on June 13, 2025. Twenty coach finalists will be shortlisted based on criteria including coaching qualifications, startup coaching experience, EdTech and business background, and coaching competencies. These finalists will be matched with selected startups based on objectives and relevant experience.
Over a 20-week period, coaches will provide personalized support to address the specific needs of their assigned startups. The winners will be selected based on criteria such as objective setting, coaching approach, and the impact of results.
Terry Kim, CEO and Founder of DOHE, emphasized the value of coaching for startup success: “As an entrepreneur, I know firsthand how valuable the right guidance can be in the early stages of building a business – often making the difference between success and failure.”
The GSCA aims to recognize the dedication and impact of coaches who drive startup growth behind the scenes. DOHE encourages talented coaches to participate, share their knowledge, and further develop their coaching skills and impact.
