A buzzing South Korean startup has landed a major round of funding to propel their platform aimed at streamlining machine learning model deployment. VESSL AI closed a $12 million Series A round that they will use to improve their machine learning operations (MLOps) software and expand their customer base.
VESSL AI’s MLOps platform helps businesses maximize the capabilities of their machine learning tools while keeping costs low. They have developed a hybrid infrastructure model using on-premise and multi-cloud resources that can reduce GPU expenses by as much as 80%. By intelligently allocating workloads across available computing environments, the platform ensures machine learning tasks are completed as efficiently as possible.
The company already has 50 enterprise customers from varied industries tapping into their optimization tools. Notable names include automaker Hyundai, aerospace manufacturer LIG Nex1, mobility provider TMAP Mobility, and Korean tech startups Yanolja, Upstage, ScatterLab, and Wrtn.ai. VESSL AI has also cemented strategic partnerships with tech giants Oracle and Google Cloud to expand their global reach.
This Series A funding will help VESSL AI further develop their hybrid infrastructure platform. The round was led by investors A Ventures and Ubiquoss Investment, with participation from Mirae Asset Securities, Sirius Investment, SJ Investment Partners, Wooshin Venture Investment, and Shinhan Venture Investment. With over 2,000 users, the company is well-positioned to accelerate machine learning adoption by making the processes cheaper, easier, and more scalable for businesses. Their solutions aim to unlock more value from AI through optimized machine learning operations.
