Salesforce Launches Its Startup Program in Singapore

Salesforce hosted a launch event in Singapore yesterday to unveil its new Startup Program in the region, with a strong showing from some of the country’s leading tech startups. The event highlighted how the program will provide invaluable access and resources to help startups scale.

Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) was announced as the inaugural startup partner, leveraging its extensive network to onboard local companies. DISG Head Chan Ih-Ming commented on how the collaboration will further strengthen partnerships between multinational corporations (MNCs) and domestic startups.

Salesforce SVP Abraham emphasized that Singapore’s vibrant ecosystem offers startups opportunities to thrive through innovation and growth. The timing of the program launch seeks to equip startups with tools, platform and community support needed for success amid an evolving digital landscape.

Since its India launch last December, over 200 startups have participated including unicorns like Yellow.ai. SVP Atal believes Singapore is ideal given its business-friendly environment and thriving ecosystem. The program intends to connect local startups to global audiences and markets.

Two startups highlighted potential opportunities. Valuehub CTO Arigachetta shared how it will empower them to scale more effectively through meaningful relationships and technological insights. Cooby.co CEO Shaw recognized Salesforce as a key ally in optimizing visibility and sales efficiency for enterprise clients through WhatsApp conversation solutions.

Overall the launch event demonstrated strong initial interest from Singapore’s startup community for the beneficial access, resources and collaborative support offered through Salesforce’s new Startup Program. This paves the way for accelerated growth and innovation across the local ecosystem.
