A revolutionary kitchen appliance is set to revolutionize how we prepare meals at home. Posha, a countertop robot developed by entrepreneur Raghav Gupta, aims to provide convenient access to home-cooked meals without the time-consuming effort of traditional cooking.
The innovative device, which utilizes computer vision technology, allows users to select recipes from a digital menu, add ingredients, and let the machine handle the cooking process. Gupta describes it as “a coffee machine for food,” emphasizing its user-friendly nature and customizable options.
While Posha significantly reduces cooking time, it still requires some user involvement. Consumers need to purchase ingredients and perform basic prep work like chopping. The company has found its target audience among individuals who enjoy cooking a few times a week but want to lighten their workload on other days.
Gupta explained that Posha can help users save up to 70% of their usual cooking time, reducing kitchen tasks to just 10-20 minutes daily. This efficiency has attracted attention from both consumers and investors.
The startup recently secured $8 million in Series A funding, led by Accel with participation from other notable investors. Posha plans to use this capital to expand its recipe offerings and incorporate generative AI for quick addition of user-suggested recipes.
Priced at $1,750, Posha has already sold out its initial batch since its January 2025 launch, with preorders open for the next production run. Gupta envisions a future where Posha becomes as indispensable as other common kitchen appliances.
The company’s commitment to customer feedback has been crucial to its development. Gupta personally maintains close contact with early adopters, ensuring that Posha meets real user needs and preferences.
As Posha continues to refine its technology and expand its culinary capabilities, it stands poised to transform the way we approach home cooking, offering a blend of convenience and customization for modern kitchens.
