Infosys Launches Free AI Safety Toolkit for Businesses

Infosys, a leading digital services company, has released an open-source Responsible AI Toolkit to help businesses use artificial intelligence more ethically and securely. The toolkit is part of Infosys’ broader AI suite and aims to tackle challenges linked to AI adoption.

The new tool builds on Infosys’ AI3S framework, providing advanced safeguards to detect and prevent issues like privacy breaches, biased outputs, and malicious use of AI. It can identify potential problems such as security attacks, copyright infringement, and the creation of deepfakes.

A key feature of the toolkit is its ability to explain AI decisions without sacrificing performance. This transparency helps build trust in AI systems. The toolkit is designed to be flexible, working with various AI models and easily integrating into different computing environments.

Balakrishna D.R., an executive at Infosys, emphasized that ethical AI use is now crucial for businesses. He stated that by making the toolkit open-source, Infosys aims to foster collaboration in addressing AI challenges.

The toolkit launch aligns with Infosys’ broader commitment to responsible AI. The company recently established a Responsible AI Office and has joined several global initiatives focused on AI safety and ethics.

Government and industry leaders have praised Infosys’ move. Joshua Bamford from the British High Commission called it a benchmark for technological excellence. Sunil Abraham of Meta congratulated Infosys, noting the importance of open-source tools in advancing safe AI development.

Abhishek Singh, an Indian government official, highlighted how the toolkit could benefit startups and AI developers by providing tools to enhance AI security and fairness.

This release underscores Infosys’ position as a leader in promoting ethical AI practices within the tech industry.
