Campbell University’s acclaimed startup accelerator program, Camel Accelerator, is putting out the call for its next cohort of entrepreneurs. The accelerator is now accepting applications from founders across North Carolina through mid-December for its upcoming session starting in February 2023.
Having supported over 30 startups through its first two cohorts, the Camel Accelerator is now expanding its impact beyond minorities to all entrepreneurs across the state. While past cohorts focused on diverse founders as part of its founding NC Idea grants, this spring cohort will welcome concepts from any industry or background.
Led by serial entrepreneur Scott Kelly, the three-month accelerator provides founders with mentorship and hands-on training to help evolve their businesses. Past alumni include firms tackling everything from art to data to coffee. To be considered, companies should be beyond the initial idea phase with real customers and revenue.
Applications are being accepted through December 20th for the program running February 5th through April 12th on Campbell University’s campus in Buies Creek. Preference will be given to those applying by December 10th. Entrepreneurs within a two-hour drive are encouraged to apply as attendance is expected a couple times during the cohort.
Unique among accelerators, Camel Accelerator embeds the program directly into Campbell’s entrepreneurial curriculum. Kelly and partners are spreading the word via groups like Raleigh Founded and NC Idea to uncover the top upcoming Carolina concepts. With space for 15-20 startups, the Camel Accelerator is hunting for the next wave of innovative North Carolina enterprises to support in their journey from startup to sustainable business.
