The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has formed a strategic alliance with CarDekho Group to strengthen India’s entrepreneurial landscape across mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technology sectors. This collaboration represents a major initiative to support startup growth in these vital industries.
The Memorandum of Understanding was established between Startup India-DPIIT, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and CarDekho Group, a prominent autotech and finance solutions platform. When DPIIT partners CarDekho, the goal is to provide extensive support to recognized startups through multiple growth channels.
Comprehensive Support Framework
The alliance will deliver strategic mentorship, market access, technology infrastructure, and funding opportunities to participating startups. Entrepreneurs will access CarDekho’s broad platform ecosystem, including CarDekho, InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED, opening new collaboration and customer engagement opportunities.
The partnership will organize innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge initiative, targeting electric mobility, auto-tech, finance, and sustainability sectors. This program aims to foster entrepreneurship in these rapidly expanding areas of the Indian economy.
Investment and Development Initiatives
Participating startups will connect with CarDekho’s leadership network for specialized guidance and potential co-investment through the Girnar Vision Fund (GVF). The collaboration includes skill development programs designed to build entrepreneurial and technical capabilities among founders and startup teams.

He noted that when DPIIT partners CarDekho, it creates powerful solutions for mobility, finance, and sustainability challenges. The partnership will generate opportunities for collaboration, capacity building, and market access across the country.

He stated that the arrangement where DPIIT partners CarDekho and integrates with the Startup India platform will enable comprehensive mentorship, funding, and market access for emerging entrepreneurs in mobility, fintech, and other sectors.
The formal agreement was signed by Dr. Sumeet Jarangal, Director at DPIIT, and Amit Jain from CarDekho Group, with senior officials from both organizations present at the signing ceremony.
