In a major development for the online astrology space, leading platform Astrotalk has secured $20 million in Series A funding from renowned venture capital firm Left Lane Capital. This investment will enable Astrotalk’s ambitious international expansion plans and help take its astrology offerings to users across the world.
Founded in 2017, Astrotalk has rapidly grown to become India’s largest astrology platform by leveraging technology to provide accurate and personalized astrology consultations. With a community of over 13,000 expert astrologers already, the startup has amassed a user base of 30 million users who rely on its predictions and guidance. Until now, Astrotalk’s operations were primarily focused on the Indian market.
However, with the fresh capital infusion, Astrotalk aims to take the astrology experience beyond geographical borders. The funds will be utilized for strategic acquisitions to penetrate new international territories as well as hiring top leadership with global experience. User localization efforts will also be intensified to cater to overseas populations. While retaining its stronghold in India, Astrotalk eyes major markets like the US, Canada, UK and Middle East for future expansion.
Given the universal appeal of astrology, this planned internationalization is poised to further accelerate Astrotalk’s business growth manifold. With 95% of revenue already coming from individual consultations and 20% from outside India, the startup is well-positioned to realize its vision of becoming a leading global astrology brand with a worldwide user base. Astrotalk’s latest funding round marks a significant milestone as it readies itself for global domination of the lucrative astrology sector with specialized insights and culturally customized offerings.
