AI Startup Matrice.ai Secures New Funding to Boost No-Code Computer Vision Platform
Matrice.ai, a rising star in the computer vision arena, has announced a strategic expansion of its seed funding round. The startup, known for its innovative no-code platform for creating AI models with visual capabilities, has attracted significant interest from investors.
While the exact amount remains undisclosed, cloud infrastructure provider Voltage Park led the investment round. Other participants included Ax3.ai, Plug and Play Ventures, and several angel investors.
Matrice.ai’s platform is making waves in the industry by simplifying computer vision model development. Their no-code approach allows users to build and deploy models up to 40% faster than traditional methods, potentially slashing development costs by 80%.
The platform’s user-friendly interface enables individuals without coding expertise to outline their vision for an AI model. The system then automatically generates the necessary code and initiates the training process. Matrice.ai also emphasizes a data-centric approach, offering tools to streamline dataset labeling for model training.
Already powering hundreds of live cameras for enterprises across Asia and the Middle East, Matrice.ai’s Vision Factory platform serves various sectors including energy, retail, and government. Its models support applications in diverse settings such as oil fields, retail floors, smart cities, and stadiums.
Amar Krishna, co-founder and CEO of Matrice.ai, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Voltage Park. “It’s more than a financial backer – it’s our partner for jointly developing and deploying vision AI factories,” Krishna stated, highlighting Voltage Park’s enterprise-grade infrastructure for AI training and inference.
Voltage Park, primarily an AI industry player, operates a substantial cloud infrastructure platform with over 24,000 GPUs across six data centers. The company offers cost-effective, on-demand access to GPUs without virtualization layers, enhancing performance and predictability.
Saurabh Giri, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Voltage Park, commended Matrice.ai’s progress from theoretical concepts to transformational technology. “Its domain expertise in vision models enables our customers to convert pixels into intelligence with vertical-specific solutions across multiple industries,” Giri noted.
Looking ahead, Matrice.ai aims to expand its presence in the U.S. and European markets while exploring new applications for computer vision models, such as flare detection, crowd analytics, and queue monitoring systems.
