Troo Good Raises $9 Million to Expand Infrastructure and Distribution for Healthy Millet Snacks

Leading millet snack maker Troo Good has crunched the numbers on its next stage of growth after securing $9 million in fresh funding. The Series B round was led by wellness investor Puro Wellness, and will see Troo Good double down on its mission to make nutritious snacks accessible nationwide.

Founded in 2018, Troo Good crafts chikki, protein bars and other snacks using millet, a nutrient-dense ancient grain. Based in Hyderabad, the company sells over 3 million snacks per day and saw revenues climb 7% in the last fiscal year.

Now equipped with $9 million, Troo Good aims to significantly boost production capabilities from its current facilities. Founder Raju Bhupati says the funds will be poured into expanding infrastructure and strengthening distribution networks to reach more customers across India with their healthy snack options.

Continued research and development of new millet-based products is also on the agenda, as Troo Good looks to leverage the grain’s benefits and cater to evolving consumer preferences for nutritious on-the-go eats.

With increased capacity and distribution, Troo Good is poised to give popular junk food brands a run for their money in the snack space. Having proven itself a profitable player even in the hyper-competitive FMCG sector, Troo Good is demonstrating how focusing on health can be a winning business model.

Investors are betting big on Troo Good’s potential, with this latest round bringing total funds raised to $13 million. Puro Wellness Partner Vivek Anand praised Troo Good’s consistent growth and leadership. With hunger for healthy brands only growing stronger, Troo Good looks set to satisfy India’s snack attack – one nutritious nosh at a time.
